Shrimp Boil Foil Packets
Camping can be a relaxing and magical experience. But what isn’t so relaxing? Dishes. Everyone wants to eat but no one wants to do the dishes. This is where foil packet meals come in handy.
Foil packet meals are quick to prepare, easy to clean up, and can be cooked while camping. If you need a campfire recipe, this is the one for you!
Ingredients and Materials
- Shrimp
- Precooked Sausage
- Zucchini
- Corn on the Cob
- Garlic and Butter
- Old Bay Seasoning
- Aluminum Foil
- Heat Resistant Gloves or Tongs
- Knife
Instructions
- Cut the corn into 2″ long sections and then cut each section in half down the middle.
- Roll out 18″ of aluminum foil.
- Assemble the ingredients in the center of the foil. Place the corn and zucchini on the bottom then the sausage and shrimp. Place all other ingredients on top.
- Seal the packet by folding the short ends of foil together. Then roll the long ends of foil towards the center.
- Place the packet over the fire. Placing it on the grate will work best however you can place it directly on the embers as well.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes.
- Remove from the heat, let it cool, and enjoy!
Tips
- If unsure about cooking directly in aluminum, you can line the foil with parchment paper.
- It is better to roll too much aluminum foil than to not have enough!
- Add Cajun seasoning for a slightly different flavor to your meal.
